My little shit amazes me once again... I visited him right before work, he still wasn't eating, was hooked up to the catheter, but otherwise alert and ready to go home. I told him that if he ate something while I was at work, I would come by and visit him later.
First break (2 hours later), I call to check up on him, to see if he had eaten anything yet. Found out the bastard had pulled the catheter halfway out on his own (with a friggin head cone on!), so the vet went ahead and pulled it out. He was digging in the litter box, and still hadn't eaten anything.
Second break (3 hours after that), I call to see if he peed or ate something yet. They said he was very interested in some chicken and the special diet food they laid out for him... And he was able to pee successfully on his own. I was so excited!
End of shift (4 and a half hours later), I drive over to the pet hospital to visit my sweetie, they tell me that he's ready to go home! And not only that, but they owe me $5! So everything was already paid for, and I can start paying my mom back the $950 I put on the emergency credit card!
My boss found a paycheck I had from 5/31/06. That was $100 right there. Everything seems to be working out. I can't believe it... But I know I didn't do it alone, and couldn't have done it alone. I thank the universe, my friends, and the couple of people I don't know who lent money, energy, and advice. Yin is super happy to have his brother home. And so am I.
Thanks to everyone who helped out!
